This ring is made with a doubled strand of pure silver and pure gold, though any other color or karat of gold would present just as pleasant a contrast with the silver. Both metals are soft, and will wear faster than 18K gold would, but experience has shown that such a ring can last a long time and stand up to considerable wear and tear.

Here's almost the same ring, pure silver on the outside and 18K yellow gold on the inside. This one will probably be more durable than the one above it, at least as far as the gold is concerned. I've been wearing this one a lot since I made it, and I get a lot of compliments on it.
