I've been asked about tarnishing in silver, before, and I've always said that pure silver tarnishes more slowly than Sterling silver does, but it will tarnish under the right conditions. I keep rings or bracelets in my pocket for long periods without having to repolish them, as a matter of fact. However, my brother wears his when he peels hardboiled eggs, and this is the result. He wants to keep it this color, but it keeps wearing off and turning white again.
